Trees for Troops Celebrates Christmas in July!

During the month of July, Trees for Troops will be running a month-long fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $2,000 in 31-days. The Christmas in July campaign will be primarily focused online. If you haven’t already, make sure you are following Trees for Troops on social media.

Help Trees for Troops raise $2,000 in the month of July so we can reach more military families this holiday season! To meet our goal by July 31, we will need to raise approximately $65 per day…a very attainable goal. Please spread the word to your friends, family and colleagues. If you follow Trees for Troops on social media, please like, comment and share the messages to help us spread the word.

Trees for Troops in 2014 hopes to reach another 17,000+ military families this year, which would put the lifetime reach at over 155,000 families!

You can help us get there! Make a donation today.

What does a Christmas tree mean to a military family? Here's what just a few families had to say:
"I am deploying within days after Christmas, however this tree has made it very special because we have never had a real tree. It is so perfect!"

"Receiving the tree has brought great joy to our home along with the Christmas spirit."

"Because of your generosity my children and I made another beautiful memory. I haven't seen them smile so much and as big as they did tonight, for that I thank you and it truly means the world to me."

You can help make a difference this holiday season. Your donation will help the Trees for Troops program continue to grow and reach more military families with he gift of a free, Real Christmas Tree.

Trees for Troops Delivers Over 17,000 Doses of Christmas Spirit in 2013
In 2013, Trees for Troops® provided 17,051 free, real Christmas Trees to military families and troops, bringing the total since inception of the program to more than 139,000 trees. The trees were delivered by FedEx to 62 military bases in the U.S. and Middle East, covering every branch of the armed services. Check out some of the photos and thank you messages on this website and our Facebook page of military families that have received trees.

The program kicked off on November 19 at Dull's Tree Farm in Thorntown, Indiana. More than 50 volunteers helped organize, box and load 250 trees, of which 150 were shipped overseas. The lucky recipients were the members of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia and Khandahar Air Field in Afghanistan. View photos on Facebook.

Members of the National Christmas Tree Association and many state and regional Christmas tree associations donated trees by the thousands. They do it because they love the opportunity to say "thank you for your service and sacrifice" to troops and their families. In total, 9,685 Christmas trees were donated by growers this year. Consumers supported Trees for Troops by donating funds or by visiting the 60 farms and retail locations across the country that hosted FedEx trailers during Trees for Troops Weekend, Dec. 6-8, 2013. During Trees for Troops Weekend, consumers purchased and donated 7,216 trees that were placed in the trailers and delivered to U.S. military bases.

During the first two weeks in December, stateside military bases all over the country saw FedEx trucks roll up filled with Real Christmas Tree. A grand total of 16,901 trees were donated to U.S. military installations in 2013.
