Thank you so much for the Christmas tree! With my hubby deployed, I'm always looking for fun things to do with our two preschoolers, and we all really enjoyed picking out, bringing home, & decorating our tree! My 2 year-old son especially loves the lights. We appreciate it!

To all the supporters of Trees for Troops,

Thank you so much for providing this opportunity to military families.
My husband has been deployed for the past 9 months, and should be home just in time for Christmas. Trees for Troops gave me the opportunity to bring a little Christmas cheer into my home and give my husband the best homecoming and Christmas.

I hope you are able to continue this program, because sometimes it’s the little things like this that make deployment a little bit easier.

Sincerely,
Jessica

To Whom This May Concern:

On behalf of our family, I would like to thank you all so much for the gift of our beautiful Christmas Tree. It blesses our home and our hearts so much year after year. I hope you understand that these trees not only send a message of love and support, but they also send a message of help and concern during the Holiday Season. My husband, SFC Liam, is like all servicemen and women, and they have had to work their way through the ranks, earning each and every promotion. Finances are tight normally for those of lesser ranks....(they sure were with us), and Trees For Troops has always gifted us with the most beautiful and expensive of trees. I have included a picture of our beautiful tree shortly after it arrived in our home. We will spend the evening decorating our tree remembering your gratitude for my husband and his continued service to this great nation of ours. I have also included the precious card that came with our tree. Year after year the kindest words are always expressed on these cards. We cannot thank you enough. Merry Christmas from our house to yours.

Sincerely,
SFC Liam and family

To whom it may concern,
We received our Christmas tree this year from Trees for Troops. We wish we could have read the name to give proper thanks to the veteran, a former USAF member, but the signature was illegible. We are newlyweds and will be celebrating our first Christmas together and feel so blessed to have such a beautiful tree in our home. It was such a kind and generous gift. Our tree continues to bring us smiles daily, and we look forward to enjoying our tree through the entire holiday season.

Thank you,
A Navy Family in Panama City Florida

I just wanted to thank everyone involved in this program, especially those who donated the trees, for the beautiful Christmas tree I was given! Even though I waited until the last day to pick one up, I received a gorgeous spruce that was at least 8 ft tall. Please feel free to pass on my sincere thanks to those involved; let them know that they will be remembered by us during this wonderful season of giving! Let them also know that their generosity has been paid forward as we donated what we would have spent on a tree to buy presents for an Angel Tree recipient.

On behalf of our family, I would like to thank you for this project.

I can share a little bit of how this tree was a Godsend. I was laid off back in May of 2012. Since my husband will be retiring in June of 2013. We decided the best option for us was for me to go back to school and complete my degree, that way if he cannot find work after retirement at least I can try to secure a better job after having a degree. This year we have struggled to meet our financial obligations and we are seeing our savings come down to nearly the double digits. I was very concerned about this holiday because I knew we needed a tree but was not sure how we could afford it and gifts for the kids at the same time.

When my husband said they were given free trees at his base. I felt that God had answered my prayers and lifted my burden. I would like for you to send a huge thank you to the Campbell's from Georgia.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Farrington's

To Whom it May Concern:

Thank you so much for providing this awesome gift to military and their families. Attached is a picture of the tree we got today through this wonderful organization. Our soldier deployed exactly one week ago. That was one day before our youngest son’s first birthday and four days before our oldest son’s sixth birthday. This is my husband’s sixth deployment. We are all feeling pretty down and this is just what we needed to perk up our spirits. When my son got home from school and found that we had a tree he was so happy. He helped me get it in the stand and hung some decorations. He and his brother needed to get to bed before we were able to finish decorating it, I finished after they were asleep. They will be so excited to see it when they wake up tomorrow. My little guy talked and talked (so to speak) to the tree when we lit the tree up. It is exactly what we needed and we are truly grateful. We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Love,
Mrs. Jensen

Ms. Gray,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for your efforts with Trees for Troops. We just picked up our Christmas tree today at MacDill AFB and the tree is beyond beautiful. What a wonderful Christmas gift for our entire family. This is our first time getting a tree through the Trees for Troops program and cannot believe the beautiful assortment of trees that were available.

Our tree has a Michigan Snowfresh tag on it. I was not able to determine which tree farm provided the tree but wanted to make sure I passed my sincerest thanks to all involved. I found your name on the Christmas Spirit Foundation website as the Michigan contact.

Please know that your efforts are truly appreciated. We love our tree and are looking forward to decorating it tonight. I don't know if there is anyway to determine which farm provided the tree but if so, I would love to let them know what a beautiful tree it is and how much my family appreciates it.

Thank you again!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hello,
I wanted to send a BIG THANK YOU to KEN CASHMAN for donating such a beautiful tree to a military family and including everyone in the squadron.

My husband was deployed at the time we were to pick it out so my daughter and I went. She had fun looking around and picked the perfect tree for our home.

I was just as excited since I had only had 1 “real” tree my entire life. We decorated it all together and it turned out really pretty. (Sorry for the blurry shot)

My husband is home now and liked what we chose.

Thank you to Ken and Trees for Troops for organizing this every year. I and many others appreciate it and are very grateful.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Thank you once again.

For the first time in seven years, my husband did not deploy or return from deployment at Christmas time.  To receive our donated Christmas tree was such a treat!  To have a real family Christmas together and enjoy the season as it rolled in, then decorate our beautiful tree was a memory we will always treasure.  Where ever you are Owen, you are our hero too!!

Dear Trees for Troops and Valley Star Farm,

Thank you very much for our Christmas tree this Christmas season!  What a wonderful surprise when my husband's Georgia Army National Guard unit was told about them.  I have attached a picture, although it doesn't represent how pretty the tree really was.

Thank you again for the gift.

Sincerely,

Hello,
I am a French officer serving embedded in the U.S. military and my family and I were fortunate to get a splendid Christmas tree through Trees for Troops. We enjoyed it greatly, especially the kids when Santa Klaus dropped presents under its branches!

Thanks to the Schlosser Shafer family for the nice words and drawings.

Thanks,
Philippe
