Imagine a smiling group of U.S. troops gathered around a Christmas Tree that was grown on an American farm and express shipped to arrive fresh and green somewhere on the other side of the world, just in time for Christmas. Or, imagine a spouse and children sharing joyous memories of Christmas through the gift of free, real Christmas Tree while their family member is away serving our country. Trees for Troops® makes this vision a reality!
Kickoff and International Shipment
The 2013 program will kick off on Tuesday, November 19, at Dull's Tree Farm in Thorntown, Indiana. The event will be filled with excitement as FedEx volunteers, Indiana Department of Agriculture, Indiana Christmas Tree growers and local FFA students will help organize, pack and load approximately 300 trees to be shipped to U.S. troops stationed overseas.
Trees for Troops Weekend, Dec. 6-8, 2013
Consumers can be a part of this wonderful program by visiting one of the 30+ farms and retail lots across the country that will be participating in Trees for Troops Weekend this year. Each of these locations will have a FedEx trailer parked at their farm/lot so you can purchase a tree and then place it on the truck to be donated and delivered to a military family at one of our participating bases the following week. U.S. Base Deliveries
This year, Trees for Troops hopes to deliver more than 17,000 trees in total with a majority of those going to military families stationed at military installations across the U.S. The deliveries will take place at 60+ bases covering every branch of the armed services. Bases are in the process of being "signed up" with the program, with permission from their branch of service. View the current Trees for Troops base delivery schedule
(as of Nov. 15). *These dates represent the day FedEx delivers the trees. Please check with the base MWR for details about their event as the dates may differ.

About Trees for Troops
Trees for Troops, a program of the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, provides farm-grown Christmas Trees to armed forces members and their families in the U.S. and stationed overseas. Through cash contributions, donated Christmas Trees, the work of many volunteers, and the generous support of our shipping sponsor FedEx, Trees for Troops has brought the true spirit of Christmas to thousands of deserving service men and women and their families. Since 2005, Trees for Troops has provided more than 122,000 Christmas Trees to military families and troops in the United States and overseas. Each year, thousands of Christmas Tees are donated by American farm families and the public, and FedEx delivers these trees to more than 60 military bases.
Thank you for your support, and Merry Christmas!
